AUGN was founded in the year 2020 as a non-profit tax exempt organization with a mission to stimulate golf within the African Community in the State of Minnesota by bringing together golfers of African descent desirous of forming a golfing organization. Our objective is to promote and foster among the members a closer bond, unity and fraternity for their joint and mutual benefit, and to promote and conserve the best interests and true spirits of Africa, the United States of America and the game of golf as embodied in their ancient and honorable traditions.

At AUGN, we promote and encourage participation in the game of golf among females and youth in the African community including mentoring on and off the golf course.
